The AGY fall retreat is headquartered at Good Medicine Lodge, situated in the authentic northwestern Montana town of Whitefish and in the heart of America’s greatest outdoor recreational region. The weekend is spent knitting, learning, exploring new yarns, socializing and most importantly relaxing in the gorgeous setting of Whitefish, MT. Good Medicine is our “home base” for the weekend and is only a short walking distance to both downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Lake. It is also conveniently located a short drive away from Big Mountain Ski Resort and a slightly longer drive to Glacier National Park. This year the retreat will be held the first weekend of October which is also Octoberfest in downtown Whitefish!
Good Medicine Lodge consists of rooms and suites, most with balconies and mountain views, each have private baths, vaulted wood ceilings and custom made lodgepole or iron beds. Guest amenities include a hot tub and deck with Big Mountain and garden views, a guest bar with refrigerator, microwave, ice machine and endless supply of Montana sized cookies, afternoon beverages and appetizers. The dining room is the scene for scrumptious fare prepared in the award winning kitchen and served at individual tables enhanced by views of evergreens, Whitefish Mountain Resort and the kitchen herb garden.
The retreat runs from Friday evening, October 4th through Sunday morning, October 6th. We start with a kick-off activity on Friday evening for everyone to get to know each other. We spend the day Saturday between open knitting, activities and learning opportunities and then head home on Sunday. In the past there have been plenty of opportunities to carpool among retreat participants from the Spokane area.
Because the lodge has a variety of rooming options from single rooms to suites we will work with you to determine what is the best set-up for yourself and/or your retreat group!
