This entire week is officially "World Wide Knit in Public Day." The idea is to offer an entire week long celebration of knitting and give everyone plenty of opportunity to knit in public beyond a single day. My question is, who DOESN'T knit in public? In many ways we are so fortunate to be located in a town of fiber people--I often see knitters and crocheters out about town and love to acknowledge our kinfolk "in the wild."
We are excited to join in solidarity for WWKIPD with the awesome Oh!Loops group and knit at Manito Park this Friday evening (June 20th). We are meeting in the main parking lot of Manito Park between 5:00 and 5:30pm and then will relocate to a grassy, comfortable spot. Please be sure to bring anything you might want to sit on (fold-up chairs, blankets, etc.). And, of course, your knitting!
